L.K. Madigan

This month has not been a good month for literature. First, Brian Jacques (author of the Redwall series) passed away, then Perry Moore and now L.K. Madigan.

Madigan wrote two teen novels. Her first, Flash Burnout, was the 2010 William C. Morris YA Debut Award winner.

And her newest novel, Mermaid's Mirror, takes on mermaids in the real world. Lena has always been drawn to the ocean. Is it because of her ex-surfer father or is it because of the glimpse of a mermaid's tail she saw in the cove?
With all of the losses we've had this month in teen literature, let's celebrate their works by reading and passing them on to our friends!
