The mother of the family is somehow connected to Weetzie's missing dad, the daughter is practising some kind of voodoo . . . but the son, a gorgeous golden boy, seems to be Weetzie's one and only savior. Several times he intervenes in sticky situations for Weetzie. But who is he and how is he connected to her dad too? And if he's not around, will Weetzie learn to depend on herself and find her own strength? (Of course, she will! But it's still fun to read the journey.)
