John Green's Library

Wow, I forgot to post earlier tonight while I was working so to meet my goal to blog every day during Teen Read Week I'm posting now....

We've posted before about John Green's books (Looking for Alaska and An Abundance of Katherines) and about his video blog project with his brother, Hank (Brotherhood 2.0), but I don't care. I'm talking about him again. Yesterday's vlog was thoroughly amusing. To celebrate Teen Read Week John showcases his home library and discusses teens versus adult reading. I was impressed that he had actually put his books in categories in his home--very detailed. The reason this amuses me so much is that it always makes me feel better when someone is more "geeky" than me! :)

I love Japanese game shows. They crack me up. They are so bizarre and off the wall--even if you don't know what they're saying you can still laugh your butt off. This video clip came to me through library channels, since the scene of the video is a staged library. The six guys are supposed to be perfectly quiet. In the ten minutes that passes, they pick cards, the one who selects the skull and crossbone card has to do a "challenge" and do it without speaking. The slapping machine challenge had me in tears. So crazy. I love it. Watch it and have yourself a good laugh.

Sorry by the way that this has nothing to do with books. So in the meantime, I'm reading the Making of Dr. Truelove by Derrick Barnes for the PPYA sex booklist.
