This book was an amazing work of Christian fiction. It definitely showed me how God can take the most broken life and turn it around into someone who can glorify him and teach others more about Him.

Izzy and her family have sought out monsters for a long time. However, when they move to Mississippi and Izzy attends high school for the first time, she finds its being haunted. Filled with the hardships of high school and the danger of a troubled spirit, this book is great!

It's a great book to read while lying at home and enjoying a nice snack. (without damaging the book.)  Taking place during the reign of King George |, this book involves murder, secrets, romance, and the most unexpected deception of all.

Kira evolved beautifully in this book, although her death, and the death of Comrade Andrei made me cry. Leo seemed like a hero, but I'm not even sure anymore. Comrade Taganovs heroics and love cost him his life. I wasn't sure Leo would live through the tuberculosis, and so I can't discredit Kira for being Andrei's mistress, but it broke my heart.

Ayn Rand has a way of making the heroes seem different then they are in most stories, they can be unfeeling, they may try not to save everyone or they aren't as sacrificing, because it hurts, but they are still the heroes. Dominique sacrificed her true love because she didn't want to be happy, to be done with live and love, didn't know if she deserved it.

This book was clean, well written, historical fiction. It's a must read for any teen of any age, male or female. I highly recommend it.
